★Yelp“Nice bustling atmosphere in the heart of Miami’s design district. While the sushi bar doesn’t have the aesthetic of an upscale sushi joint, the sushi itself is exceptionally good. A nice, relaxed, vibe, with no pretentiousness. Just quality sushi.”

GGoogle“This place is the best kept secret in Miami. OOOMMMGGG! Their rice is warm. They are so high class. Taste is insane. Quality an 11 out of 10. I went there twice in ONE day and even want to go back today. Their toro hand roll was out of this world. Incredible !!!!!!!!! Wow. Wow. Wow.”

★Yelp“Omg, the way this sushi place is priced makes me feel like there a glitch in the matrix.. probably some of the best sushi I've had (and I eat it a lot) got the 10 pc omakase for $59 tbh if it was double that this would still be a five star review. Every piece was perfectly seasoned and ratioed and just heaven”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“$50 dollar omakase is unheard of, especially at the quality. The fish were fresh and basically melted in our mouths. The garnishes and flavors complicated each other. They also used real wasabi, which is rare for even "high end" restaurants. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in Miami again. The only thing was we did not know what fish we were eating or what order we should eat.”

GGoogle“Miami's Design District is a beautiful place and one of the main tourist attractions in the region. Despite having dozens of very expensive restaurants, inside the Plaza Shopping Center there is a small food court with excellent restaurant options. And perhaps the best option is the Sardomare restaurant. Excellent service! Authentic Italian food! Fresh, high-quality ingredients! And everything served very quickly! If you're in the Design District and want to eat well on a budget, go check out Sardomare.”

GGoogle“Holy cow THE FISH WAS AMAZING - we had to order another plate of nigiri! Most memorable nigiri were the scallop and fatty tuna for me. Despite its simplicity, quality is just out of this world Place was a little hard to find at first, we didn't realize it was inside the food court (out of towners here). But loved that the set up was food court style, this made it easy for us to find seats (which are really cute btw!) and also try other things like coffee after! I enjoyed this place more than most places in NYC honestly, will recommend to anyone visiting!”

★Yelp“I popped by the design district's food hall after running an errand in the area. Located in the far back left is sushi yasu tanaka. I haven't had good sushi in a while and after hearing some good buzz about this spot, I decided to give it a shot. At first approaching the counter one of the chefs right away greeted me and asked me how they could help. After looking at the menu I selected the five piece course. Wow. The sushi is incredible. Really high quality. No real need to add additional soy sauce. The fish melts in your mouth. The rice is well prepared. I will definitely go back and look forward to trying one of their larger options. Keep up the great work!”

★Yelp“Probably one of the most underrated sushi spots in Miami. Located inside Design District's, MIA Market, you wouldn't expect to find such high quality, perfectly curated sushi, nigiri and hand roll menu but there it is -- a spot every sushi lover should try. Run by former chef of the den at Azabu, the michelin rated chef Yasu Tanaka knows how to create beautiful creations of hand rolls, nigiri samplers and maki rolls you didn't know your taste buds needed. Recently, I indulged in the tuna sampler which consisted of 3 tuna makis, 2 fatty tuna nigiris that were torched, 2 less fatty ones and 2 even less fatty... wow, wow, wow, I was speechless. I really hope everyone gets a chance to try this spot out because you certainly will not regret it.”

★Yelp“Exquisite, phenomenal, and mind-blowing are all words used to describe this place! I went over to HotLime after strolling around Miami design district because both my boyfriend and I were hungry and we came across Mia Market in the upper section of the stores and after visiting each section to see their menu options, HotLime caught our attention. Don't get me wrong, everything the other places offered sounded magnificent but HotLime's just did it for us! We came over to order our food, and since It was our first time visiting and we didn't know the menu, a very nice young lady helped and guided us through everything and all the questions we had. I'd also like to mention that my boyfriend struggles a bit with english so she went ahead and explained the menu to him in spanish as well which made him feel so comfortable! Now, the food, the food was absolutely delicious! I got the shorty tacos and my boyfriend got the chicken tacos, when I tell you I have never had tacos like these before! The tacos were soft and the pieces of rib were so juicy, The chicken tacos had a light pink sauce which made everything come together so perfectly and when I asked the young lady if I could add that sauce on my shorty tacos, she said yes and brought me some of the sauce. My boyfriend and I were so satisfied and fulfilled with not only the service we received but also the food and if you're wondering, yes the tacos look just like the pictures and taste even better too! If you're looking for a place to eat around the Miami area, I 100% recommend this spot!”

GGoogle“Food came out really quick, and the serving felt high quality even though it's a food mall. The server was well dressed and my food looked amazing. I didn't know what to expect, it's salmon with avocado topped with torched salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce and truffle oil. The salmon was so soft and the torched salmon on top is a great touch, it genuinely melts in my mouth and the crunchy rice crackers on top is an amazing touch. I have no idea how they made it that way but the sauce and oil blends great too, it's one of the few rolls I don't have to drown in soy sauce and can actually enjoy the taste. The actual area has a very nice vibe to it, the ambiance is great there's music playing at the bar area and there's circular overhead lights that gives a nice feel even though it's in a mall.”

★Yelp“This Israeli restaurant is located inside the Mia Food Hall at the Design district. I recommend that you park inside one of the garages for better rates than street parking (which is becoming quite difficult to find) I loved what I ordered here which was the Sabich platter. The eggplant was incredible and everything was so full of flavour, from the spicy sauces to the hummus. One complaint that I had was the pricing, it feels elevated. Great pita bread here. Please keep in mind that this is a stand, so you will be going up to the counter to pick it up, yes there are tables to sit at, but not dedicated just to that restaurant. I made a trip from Doral and wasn't disappointed and you shouldn't be either.”

★Yelp“Miami Nice inside MIA Market in the Design District is an absolute gem. The food is seriously on point--everything from the ribeye to the chicken and salmon wrap was cooked perfectly, and the croquettes were next-level addictive. You can tell real care and passion go into every dish. The ambiance is chill and inviting, making it a great spot to hang out and eat well, but what really sets this place apart are the owners--super cool guys who genuinely love food and it shows in both the flavors and the experience. Easily one of my favorite stops in the food hall, highly recommend.”

★Yelp“Have you been to Jaffa? Located in the St. Roch market in the design district on the second floor upstairs. Parking is very easy in this area. If you find a garage it's approximately $3.00 for 4 hours! For Miami that is a steal! Jaffa is inside a food hall, it's very cozy and comfy with lots of other restaurants to choose from. I ordered the shakshuka and it was personally made by Salar which was absolutely delicious! Averagely priced, around $13-15 dollars. So delicious. It hit the spot! No one makes shakshuka like Jaffa or Salar!”

★Yelp“Dinner tonight waz fire.com. i tried their aji amarillo ceviche, cilantro ceviche and a variety of tacos. The food here is rediculously fresh for a food court. Nothing is made until you order it. Their ceviche is so amazing. A combination of fish, octopus, shrimp in A) yellow pepper sauce B) cilantro sauce topped with red onion, homony and cancha (crunchy peruvian corn). They are $16 and so worth it. The tacos on tuesday are $3 and so delightful. I highly suggest this killer joint.”

★Yelp“The sushi here is top notch. We tried the omakase which comes with 10 pieces of nigiri and 1 hand roll. Everything was perfect, from the texture and size of the sushi rice, to the freshness and preparation of the fish. It is in a food hall but the seating and atmosphere is trendy. Would definitely recommend to anyone who takes sushi seriously.”

GGoogle“Love this beautiful food hall. This ceviche place is pretty good. I ordered a classic ceviche, which I'm very happy about. The fish is very fresh and the taste is citrusy and light. The chips & salsa is just fine, maybe because I come from San Diego, so probably I have a high standard for that.”

★Yelp“I came from San Diego and was looking for a good hummus place. I was very impressed with the great service and with the amazing food! I ordered the hummus with shawarma and it came in a beautiful impressive display tray! I highly recommend it and definitely be back to eat there!”

★Yelp“Best. Omakase. Ever. Not just in Miami! Experienced chefs, excellent quality, great value. I must say the portion is on the smaller side but that means you can try even more pieces! This is the only place I'd eat in the design district!”
