★Yelp“Delicious and affordable Omakase with a pleasant take out ambiance in the Design District. Excellent service. I sat outside and the waiter brought my Omakase to me.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“Unassuming restaurant serving delicious fresh sushi in a food court. Pricey, and the atmosphere is not ideal, as it is a food court, but quality matches. I'd go again and again.”

GGoogle“My first experience with Chef Yasu was at Azabu on Miami Beach. Now he’s brought the experience to MIA Market with his family owned stand. I love it. I would have had more pictures but I demolished everything. 😂 HIGHLY RECOMMEND OMAKASE!”

◉TripAdvisor“Absolutely delicious Italian spot in the heart of the Miami Design District. The food was outstanding and the service was truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and super professional. We ordered the Fusilli alla Norma and the Cacio e Pepe, and both were a solid 10/10. Amazing quality, beautiful presentation, and flavors that hit just right. Can’t wait to come back!”

GGoogle“Holy. Crap. Omg. AMAZING. I'm already drooling thinking about the tuna selection. Now be warned this place is located inside of a "food hall" inside of the Miami's Design District and is quite the pretty penny. $$$$. However, the flavors, freshness, and technique that Chef Yasu brings to the table defines my expectations of some of the best food I have tasted in this lifetime. I tried the 8-piece nigiri platter as well as a hamachi hand roll and will definitely be back to have more. Just WOW.”

★Yelp“WHAT IS THIS PLACE? I've probably walked by it 50 times and always thought, "Ugh, food court sushi." Then I took a minute to watch what some diners were eating and I was intrigued. I finally ordered the omakase and was shocked at the flavor and the quality. It's something I'd expect for twice the price at a much fancier venue. The menus is simple - just a few options. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Quality and flavor is off the charts. Is it wrong to go back for lunch two days in a row???”

★Yelp“Have you been to Jaffa? Located in the St. Roch market in the design district on the second floor upstairs. Parking is very easy in this area. If you find a garage it's approximately $3.00 for 4 hours! For Miami that is a steal! Jaffa is inside a food hall, it's very cozy and comfy with lots of other restaurants to choose from. I ordered the shakshuka and it was personally made by Salar which was absolutely delicious! Averagely priced, around $13-15 dollars. So delicious. It hit the spot! No one makes shakshuka like Jaffa or Salar!”

★Yelp“Sushi Yasu Tanaka is the place to go to when you are visiting MDD in Miami and want to try something authentic and fresh. I had friends visiting from Europe and it was an absolute hit for them and for me. We went for lunch and the staff was very welcoming and helpful with our orders. I had the bowl with half & half rice/salad, tuna, salmon … so delicious. For appetizer we had, sashimi and ceviche, if we could lick the plate we would 🤤 unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of that. Definitely recommend this place, specially in the summer refreshing and light.”

GGoogle“Ever since visiting Israel a few years ago and falling in love with the greatest food in the world, I've been on the hunt for Israeli or even southern Mediterranean food here in the US to at least get close to the freshness and taste of being there. Until today, I've been coming up short. Then I saw Jaffa Israeli Kitchen opened in Hallandale and told my wife this was all I wanted to do on my birthday. We jumped on one of their two mezze starters, got their beef kofta, and dairy free pistachio ice cream. ALL OF IT WAS INCREDIBLE! With their doors open to enbrace today's incredible weather, it was almost like being on the harbor eating in Jaffa. We met the owner/chef Yaniv Cohen, who was wonderful to speak to and hear how he prepared some of the dishes. Make reservations and go. You will NOT be disappointed. Hell, tell me when you're going, Ill go with you. It's definitely in rotation now.”

★Yelp“This restaurant is likely Miami's best kept secret. It's a culinary gem that's hides in plain sight. Located within the MIA Market, Tanaka Sensei works his sushi wizardry alongside a skeleton crew. I started with their omakase (chef's tasting) menu, and I'm telling you that if you like sushi even a little bit, you simply must come and try it. At $59 it's the best dining bargain in Miami, with 10 pieces of sushi plus a hand roll to finish. Oh, and they get everything right: the rice, the ginger, the service are all impeccable and enhance the experience. The venue itself is modest, being one of a number of kiosks surrounding the large dining area, making a sort of high-end food court. You order at the kiosk, then get a stanchion with a number on it and bring it back to your table. Service is polite and prompt. You can get tea or water from SYT, or alcohol from some of the other kiosks. My meal was perfect, but I was so amazed I had to try more. I followed up the omakase with the salmon special, which is 7 pieces each done differently but expertly. It costs $35 and is just as sublime as the omakase menu. I will certainly return as often as I can before this place moves to a new venue more fitting to its class.”

★Yelp“Hands down one of the BEST sushi spots in miami. I waited a while to write a review simply because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself. Whenever chef runs out of his super fresh, high quality fish, he closes for the day. And the more people know about this spot, the more likely he's going to run out of supplies so.... Chef Tanaka is the real deal. His dedication to his craft is reflected in every dish he serves. And I don't know anyone as nice and deserving as him and his family. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, really. Everything is exquisite. And the fish is melt in your mouth, buttery fresh. He brings in awesome variety from all over (local and Japan) and is always changing things up to keep it interesting. Which is nice for us locals who come to see him often! Yes, he has a following of locals because he's that good and his food is that incredible. If you know about Japanese food, and the proper preparation of the rice, fish, fresh wasabi, etc... then you MUST try this spot. And be prepared to become obsessed. PLUS you're supporting a small business - which makes it even better!”

★Yelp“What a gem! Husband and I came through looking for a snack and left so happy. Inside the MIA Market in the Design District, this is a great spot to grab some quality sushi (and try some omakase) without having to make a reservation or to deal with a long wait, like at a restaurant. We shared the 8-piece nigiri selection and a hamachi hand roll. The nigiri was fresh and the quality was top-notch. I've always been skeptical about hand rolls but man, their hamachi hand roll was so good. I could have probably had like 8 of those, EASY. Everything was fresh and flavorful and it was quick. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“Food here was excellent. I got the omakase, salmon sushi, and ube soybean ice cream. The hand roll and omakase selection were fresh and fantastic with each fish having its unique texture and flavor highlighted. The salmon was excellent. Nice fatty and smooth cuts of salmon with a couple being charred to add some more layers of flavor. Ice cream was amazing. The complimentary flavors of ube and soybean was a great mix of umami, salty, and sweet. Atmosphere is an inconspicuous food hall which the main staff for this restaurant being the sushi chefs.”

GGoogle“Located in the MIA market in the design district, Sushi Yasu is a surprisingly excellent place for sushi. The sushi is traditional style, fresh and tastes excellent. They have a few set menus but you can also order a la carte. We had the omakase and every piece was great. Service is excellent, but it's worth noting that you order from a counter, fond place to sit and then your meal is brought to you. Don't let that fool you into thinking this is mediocre sushi, it's on par with some of the best sushi you can get outside of Japan.”

★Yelp“I'm originally from Israel , living in the states for a while now, finally found a place by a great spice chef, getting the flavors and taste of home cooking, from cauliflower to hummus, tehini, amba and many things i miss, i'm not religious but the meat is "kosher glat" as far as i saw on the menu. we enjoyed ourselves very much. and the dessert was just amazing. more then anything we expected. as i said, in the food market full of many types of options, that is a hidden pearl a must visit.”

◉TripAdvisor“Do yourself a favor, skip Sofia and try Sardomare in the food court for the best Italian food. This Sardinian restaurant offers amazing Authentic Italian cuisine . My most favorite plate is Spaghetti alla Vongole (clams) and Gnocchetti Campidanese… It tastes better than in Italy (I am half Italian! ) such a gem and super happy to find the taste of home here in Miami! Grazie Chef Daniele, sei il miglior Chef Italiano!!!”
Sardomare Pasta Bar
GGoogle“The best sushi that exists in South Florida. But take note, once you eat this no other sushi in all of Miami will ever taste as good. I almost always get the salmon 5 piece, ototo charcoal and two wagyu miso hand rolls. But as you can imagine, everything is going to be amazing. Also, it's located inside of the food hall in palm court. Very easily accessible.”
